2021 Children’s Day: Seek God’s Intervention In Addressing Worsening Security, CAN Chairman Tasks Leaders

…As FCTA Holds Special Church Service, Prayers For Abuja Children

The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter, Rev. Samson Jonah has tasked leaders to come together as one irrespective of religious and political inclination to seek God’s intervention in addressing the myraids and worsening security situation in the country

He gave this tasks at a church service to commemorate the 2021 National Children’s Day Celebration’s holding on Thursday 27th May, 2021 at the Evangelica Church Winning Ways (ECWA) Maitama where Special prayers are being offered for FCT & Indeed Nigerian Children.

The event which was put together by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) through the Gender Department of the Social Development Secretariat.

Offering the special prayers, he committed the 2021 Children’s Day Celebration’s to the hands of the Almighty God, praying that the event will not only be successful but that it’s going to be one of the best.

Lamenting the low key Celebrations occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic and the existence of TaskForce in the FCT on strict adherence to the protocol and guidelines of the COVID-19, the clergy said, it has become imperative for the leaders of the country to come together in unison and pray for the Country.

Rev. Jonah commended the FCT Administration for seeking the face of God by taking out time to offer prayers @ both the Mosque and Church for a unique 2021 Children’s Day Celebration.

Speaking earlier, the Ag. Secretary, FCT Social Development Secretariat (SDS), Dr. Kevin Ike who was represented at the event by the Deputy Director Child Welfare of Gender Department, Mr. Kumsal Wuyep explained that this years Children Day Celebration’s despite it’s low key is going to be the best because of the array of events lined up to spice and entertain the Children.

Some of the activities include the Prayer session held in the National Mosque on Friday 21st May, 2021, A Day Out with the Orphans & Vulnerable Children held yesterday Saturday 22nd May, 2021 at the Cinema Hall of SDS, and off course today’s prayers at ECWA Church, Maitama.

Other activities lined up include the Children’s Parliament session/Election of new EXCO’s scheduled for tomorrow Monday 24th May, 2021 at SDS Cinema Hall. On Tuesday 25th May, 2021 is a Press Conference by the HMoS FCT, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu and HMoWA, Dame Dr. Pauline Tallen at the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs.

He encouraged parents to always make out time for their Children, mentor and tutor them accordingly because they are our future. That way, when they grow up, they shall not depart from those values already built into them but grow to become sort after Children excelling in every areas of endeavors as well as becoming good & patriotic citizens of the country.

Recall that every May 27th is slated for the commemoration and Celebration of the National Children’s Day Celebration in Nigeria.

The FCT 2021 Children’s Day Celebration’s comes up the the Executive Hall of the International Conference Center on Thursday 27th May, 2021 by 10:00am
