2027: Keyamo launches TV campaign to showcase Tinubu’s aviation achievements

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has launched a television campaign series to showcase the Tinubu administration’s policies, projects and reforms in Nigeria’s aviation sector ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The initiative, tagged Tinubu Aviation Revolution Series, features short television presentations highlighting developments in the aviation industry and the Federal Government’s efforts to reposition the sector as a driver of economic growth.

Keyamo announced the campaign through his social media platforms following his appointment as Director of Air Transport Mobilisation for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.

The series began airing on major television stations on November 1 and is expected to continue until shortly before the presidential election.

The campaign places aviation at the centre of the administration’s performance narrative, highlighting the sector’s importance to international trade, tourism, investment, job creation and economic connectivity.

Under Tinubu, the aviation sector has pursued reforms and infrastructure upgrades covering airport facilities, safety regulation, aircraft financing and international connectivity.

The minister’s television presentations are expected to highlight ongoing airport rehabilitation and modernisation projects, as well as initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency across the industry.

The campaign also represents a sector-specific approach to political communication, using developments in aviation to present the administration’s record to Nigerians ahead of the 2027 polls.

As political activities gather momentum, the initiative provides an opportunity for the government to outline its achievements and policies in the aviation sector, while voters assess the results against existing challenges and expectations.

The sector remains strategically important to Nigeria’s economic development, with airport infrastructure, safety standards, operational efficiency and international connectivity among the issues likely to feature in public discussions ahead of the election.

Ultimately, the administration’s record, the challenges that remain and its plans for the future will form part of the wider debate as Nigerians prepare to elect their next president.
