On August 13th, 2024, a solidarity rally was held in Rivers State to show support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The event, championed by Sir (Chief) Tony C. Okocha, Deputy Leader of the Renewed Hope Family in Rivers State, drew a large crowd of Rivers people who demonstrated their genuine support for the President and his Renewed Hope Agenda.
In his speech, Okocha praised the peaceful and successful procession, saying it showed that Rivers people are patriotic citizens who fly the Nigerian flag. He criticized those who had recently protested against the President, saying they were sponsored by a few individuals who benefited from the chaos.
Okocha also commended President Tinubu’s efforts to revitalize the economy and reposition Nigeria for growth and development. He highlighted the President’s initiatives, such as the Students’ Loan Scheme, and urged patience, saying that the benefits of these programs would manifest in the future.
The rally was attended by supporters of President Tinubu, who wore tags with the number 002, indicating that they represented the 001, led by His Excellency, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, CON, GSSRS, the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
