APC Blasts ADC as “Confused, Desperate,” Dismisses Claims as Rabid Conspiracy Theories

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as “Nigeria’s most confused and desperate politicians,” accusing the opposition party of inventing “rabid conspiracy theories” to explain its internal failings.

In response to a Thursday press briefing by the ADC in Abuja, APC spokesman Felix Morka described the party as a “kamikaze contraption” doomed from inception. He said the factional leadership under David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola hijacked the party in violation of its constitution, setting the stage for its current unraveling.

“The Independent National Electoral Commission’s decision to derecognise the David Mark-led faction is valid in law, justified in fact, and consistent with electoral policy. ADC created its own crisis and now seeks to blame APC,” Morka said.

The ruling party further argued that ADC’s failure to manage its internal affairs and respect due process exposes its inability to offer a credible platform for Nigerians. “A party that cannot fix itself cannot possibly fix Nigeria,” the spokesman added.

APC insisted that ADC’s main activity appears limited to attacking the ruling party, saying it “has absolutely nothing to offer beyond senseless attacks against APC” and is “lost in vain desperation for power.”

Morka concluded by reaffirming the APC’s commitment to the “Renewed Hope Agenda,” promising continued strengthening of democratic institutions to ensure peace, unity, and prosperity across Nigeria.
