Guber candidate thanks supporters for prayers, assures: “I’ll be up and running soon”
African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Katsina State, Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita, has expressed appreciation to his supporters and residents of the state for their prayers and goodwill following his recent surgery.
Kaita, who is currently recuperating after undergoing a minor orthopedic procedure at a foreign hospital, said he was deeply touched by the messages of concern and encouragement he had received from supporters within and outside Katsina.
His appreciation was contained in a statement issued by Abubakar Ahmed, spokesman for the ABK Gubernatorial Campaign, and made available to journalists in Katsina on Wednesday.
The governorship candidate also thanked ADC stakeholders for their confidence and support in ensuring that he emerged as the party’s flag bearer for the 2027 election in the state.
“I am particularly touched by your goodwill and other encouraging messages for my quick recovery. I wish to assure you that the orthopedic procedure went very smoothly and with the way I responded to treatment, In Shaa Allah, I will be up and running soon,” Kaita said.
He also commended ADC candidates contesting various elective positions for their collective efforts towards improving the standard of living of the people of Katsina State.
Kaita praised the leadership and members of the Katsina State chapter of the ADC, as well as operators of his campaign office, for sustaining the activities and structures of the party across the state.
As preparations intensify ahead of the commencement of the 2027 election campaigns, Kaita expressed confidence in the electoral prospects of the ADC, declaring that the party would defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina.
“As we move closer to the official kickoff of the governorship and State House of Assembly campaigns, which marks the beginning of the full exercise in the country, I remain confident that the ADC, which is the only opposition party with full structures in place, will defeat the incumbent APC government in the 2027 election,” he said.
Meanwhile, other ADC candidates in Katsina State are said to be intensifying preparations ahead of the official commencement of campaign activities.
