Bandits have abducted the Emir of Kajuru, Alhaji Alhassan Adamu, at his palace in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
The bandicts also kidnapped 12 more members of the emir’s family, including women and children.
Saidu Musa, the emir’s grandson and the traditional title holder of Dan Kajuru, confirmed the kidnapping.
According to him, the event occurred at 12:30 a.m.
Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs Samuel Aruwan and Police Public Relations Officer Jalige Mohamed did not return phone calls.
This is the latest in a series of attacks across Kaduna State.
Although bandits have been subjecting Kaduna residents to torture, the last few weeks have been very tough.
