The Federal Capital Territory Administration has been alerted to the illegal conversion of the Kuje Railway line to private residences (FCTA).
At a gathering with traditional leaders, council representatives, Kuje traders, and artists over the weekend, this information was made public.
The situation was described as “extremely disturbing” by Comrade Ikharo Attah, Senior Special Assistant on Monitoring, Inspection and Enforcement to the FCT Minister. He also issued a warning that all such illegal structures would be demolished without making any restitution to the owners.
Attah also expressed shock at the lack of due diligence performed by land purchasers for railway corridors prior to spending their hard-earned money in such a risky transaction.
