ABUJA — Chairman of Bwari Area Council, Hon. Joshua Ishaku Musa, has applauded the massive infrastructure drive of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, promising to replicate the development strides in Bwari and other grassroots communities.
Musa spoke on the sidelines of the commissioning of the newly completed interchange linking Jahi and Gwarimpa Districts, describing the project as a game-changer for residents, businesses and commuters across the FCT.
According to him, the road project will not only ease traffic congestion but also stimulate economic activities and improve access to communities within and around Bwari Area Council.
“This road is very important because it connects Jahi, Gwarimpa and Bwari. It will save time, reduce stress for commuters and boost businesses along the corridor,” he said.
“Once you are on this road, you can easily connect to several communities within the FCT and even access the Kaduna Road. This is a major economic route that will positively impact the lives of many residents.”
The council chairman praised Wike for what he described as an unprecedented pace of development across the territory, saying the minister has demonstrated genuine commitment to improving the welfare of ordinary Nigerians.
He noted that the ongoing projects are particularly beneficial to low- and middle-income earners who depend on good road networks for their daily economic activities.
Musa said the rapid transformation being witnessed across Abuja has created a golden opportunity for area council chairmen to partner with the FCT Administration in delivering more dividends of democracy to the grassroots.
“Any visionary area council chairman should key into what is happening. It is a rare opportunity to have a working minister who is determined to deliver results,” he stated.
The Bwari chairman pledged full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the development initiatives of the FCT Administration, assuring residents that his council would take advantage of the ongoing transformation to attract more infrastructure and social development projects.
“We will leverage the developmental strides of the FCT Minister and bring that progress to our communities. Our goal is to ensure that Bwari becomes one of the most developed area councils in the Federal Capital Territory,” he said.
Musa further promised to focus on infrastructure development, human capital growth and improved service delivery, stressing that his administration remains committed to improving the living standards of the people.
He reaffirmed his determination to place Bwari among the leading and most economically vibrant area councils in the FCT through people-oriented governance and sustainable development initiatives.
