The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) has declared that the party has overcome its internal leadership crisis, insisting that it is now rebuilding and positioning itself for victory in the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, BoT Chairman, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, said the recent Federal High Court judgment had finally put to rest the lingering leadership dispute within the party.
He maintained that the ruling was in line with an earlier Supreme Court judgment and should compel those still challenging the party’s leadership to accept reality.
According to him, the BoT, as the conscience and moral compass of the PDP, fully respects the court’s decision and remains committed to the rule of law.
Ohuabunwa warned that anyone parading himself as Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees was committing criminal impersonation and would soon face the full weight of the law.
He urged party leaders and members to close ranks, embrace reconciliation and work together to strengthen the party’s structures ahead of future elections.
He expressed confidence that the PDP would emerge stronger from its recent challenges, assuring supporters that the party would continue to take decisive steps to promote unity, stability and preparedness for the 2027 electoral contest.
