Don’t Fall Victim! Customs Raises Alarm Over Fake Recruitment Notice

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has warned Nigerians to ignore a fake recruitment notice circulating on social media, describing it as false and the handiwork of fraudsters seeking to deceive unsuspecting job seekers.

In a statement, the Service said the purported recruitment update did not originate from the Nigeria Customs Service and should be disregarded by members of the public.

“The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) wishes to inform the public that the purported recruitment update currently circulating on some social media platforms is fake and did not originate from the Service,” the statement said.

The NCS advised Nigerians to rely only on information released through its official communication channels whenever recruitment exercises or other official announcements are made.

To avoid falling victim to scammers, the Service listed its verified social media platforms as Facebook: Nigeria Customs Service; Instagram: @customsng; X (formerly Twitter): @customsng; Threads: @customsng; and TikTok: @customsng.

The Customs Service urged the public to remain vigilant and verify every recruitment-related information through its official platforms before taking any action.
