The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced that the registration time for Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) would not be extended.
According to a press statement signed by Mr. Azeez Sani, the Head Information and Public Relations Division, the registration exercise, which began on March 31, 2021, will end on Friday, June 25, 2021, and will not be extended in any way.
While the examination will begin on Monday, July 5th, 2021, Azzez stated that the notice is being sent to allow the Council to plan efficiently and effectively for the examination, including the logistics required for the seamless execution of the internal SSCE in 2021.
State Ministries of Education, Commandants, Principals, Proprietors and other relevant stakeholders are enjoined to take note of the closing date and ensure timely completion of their candidates’ registration.
Against expectations of candidates and other stakeholders for a review of date, NECO, according to the statement is assuring all stakeholders of its resolve to have a seamless conduct of the 2021 SSCE (internal).
