President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Engr. Freeborn Okhiria, as the Managing Director of Nigerian Railway Corporation NRC.
In a statement made available by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, Dr Magdalene Ajani disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari in the letter Ref: No SH/COS/17/A/1698 dated 5th October, 2020 approved the renewal of
Engr. Freeborn Okhiria, as the Managing Director/CEO of Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), in accordance with the relevant section of the Nigerian Railway Corporation Act. Cap 129, LFN, 2004.
Okhiria who was first appointed as MD of the corporation on 24th October, 2016 will continue his tenure effective 20th October, 2020 for a second and final four (4) year tenure.
