Prophet (Dr) Samuel Olabode Samiye, Overseer of The Angel of Christ Gospel Church in Isale Oremeji, Agugu, Ibadan, has congratulated Osun State Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke on his victory in the August 15, 2026, governorship election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Adeleke the winner after he polled 511,067 votes, defeating the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who scored 444,815 votes.
In his congratulatory message, Prophet Samiye described the outcome as a significant moment in Osun’s political history and a renewed opportunity for the governor to consolidate his administration’s programmes and deliver more dividends of democracy.
He urged Adeleke to view the re-election as a fresh mandate calling for greater service, humility, wisdom and inclusive governance. The cleric also encouraged the governor to extend a hand of fellowship to all political stakeholders and prioritise the unity, peace and development of the state.
Offering a prophetic prayer, Prophet Samiye asked God to grant the governor divine wisdom, strength, good health and uncommon grace as he prepares for a second term. He declared that the new administration would be marked by peace, progress, favour and greater developmental achievements, while praying for the protection of the governor, his family, his deputy, members of the cabinet and all those serving the people of Osun.
“May the Almighty God who has granted you victory grant you the wisdom to lead with justice, compassion and courage. May your second term bring greater development, peace and prosperity to the people of Osun State,” he prayed.
“I pray that every agenda contrary to the peace and progress of Osun State shall come to nothing. May God surround you with men and women of integrity, wisdom and competence, and may your administration leave an enduring legacy for generations yet unborn.”
Prophet Samiye further prayed for unity among the people of Osun regardless of political affiliation, describing the election as the start of a new chapter of reconciliation, cooperation and collective development. He called on residents to support peaceful governance and give the governor the cooperation needed to fulfil the mandate entrusted to him by the electorate.
He concluded by wishing Adeleke a successful second term, praying that it would be remembered for impactful leadership, human development, infrastructural growth and improved welfare for the people of Osun State.
