President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has celebrated Ibadan-born businessman and philanthropist, Engr. Dotun Jubril Sanusi, on his 58th birthday, praising his compassion, generosity and commitment to humanity.
The President, in a congratulatory message signed by his Senior Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, described Sanusi as an exemplary son of Ibadan and Oyo State whose contributions to community development and youth empowerment deserve recognition.
Tinubu also acknowledged Sanusi’s contributions to the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing him as a loyal party member who has been mobilising support ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
“As a businessman of note, you have demonstrated compassion, generosity and an unwavering commitment to humanity, giving back to your community roots, Ibadan and Oyo State at large,” the President said.
He commended Sanusi for mentoring young people and investing in initiatives designed to develop their talents and create opportunities for them.
According to Tinubu, Sanusi’s establishment of ICAST School and Ilaji Soccer Academy reflects his commitment to education, sports development and the empowerment of the next generation.
The President noted that the soccer academy provides opportunities for young talents to develop their skills, with prospects of recruitment by football teams in Spain and Malta.
“I do not doubt that you are an exemplary son of Ibadan and indeed of Oyo State whose humility and kindness continue to be admired by everyone who meets you,” Tinubu said.
He also expressed appreciation for Sanusi’s contributions to the APC and his personal support, describing them as invaluable.
From Oil Industry to Business Success
Sanusi built a career in the oil industry, working with multinational companies, including Halliburton, Saipem, Hanover and Beckfield, before establishing his own business.
After leaving employment, he founded TNL Drilling Services, which has expanded its operations over the years.
He is also the chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort in Ibadan, Oyo State, a business venture associated with hospitality and sports development.
Tinubu prayed for continued good health, greater accomplishments and many more years of meaningful service to humanity as Sanusi marked his 58th birthday.
“As you celebrate your birthday today, I pray that Almighty God will continue to grant you good health, greater accomplishments and many more fulfilling years of service to humanity,” the President said.
