Wike Appoints Ambassador Maureen Tamuno As Managing Director of Abuja Investment Company Limited

The Honorable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike, has approved the appointment of Ambassador (Dr) Maureen Tamuno as the new Managing Director of Abuja Investment Company Limited (AICL).

The announcement was conveyed in a statement released to newsmen on Thursday in Abuja by Anthony Ogunleye, the Director of Press to the FCT Minister.

Ambassador Tamuno’s appointment signifies a strategic move to infuse the leadership of AICL with a wealth of experience. With her background as the Nigerian High Commissioner to Jamaica, Belize, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic, she brings a diverse portfolio encompassing public service, entrepreneurship, and diplomacy. This rich blend of expertise positions her well to effectively lead AICL towards achieving its objectives.

The appointment takes immediate effect, marking the commencement of Ambassador Tamuno’s responsibilities in steering the affairs of the investment company.

In a parallel development, the Minister has terminated the contract of Messrs Integrated Facility Management Services Ltd for the management of the International Conference Center, Abuja, with immediate effect.

To address the renovation needs of the International Conference Center, Abuja, the Minister has engaged Messrs Julius Berger Nig Plc for immediate comprehensive renovation works.

These decisions underscore the commitment of the FCT administration to ensuring the effective management and revitalization of key infrastructural assets in the Federal Capital Territory. By enhancing the functionality and appeal of the International Conference Center, Abuja, the administration aims to elevate Abuja’s stature as a premier destination for conferences and investments, thereby contributing to the overall development of the nation’s capital.
