2027: Adefarati Rallies APC, Predicts Landslide Victory for Tinubu in Ondo

AKURE – House of Representatives member representing Akoko South West/South East Federal Constituency, Hon. Adegboyega Adefarati, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will deliver another overwhelming victory for President Bola Tinubu and all its candidates in the 2027 general elections.

Adefarati, who recently secured the APC ticket for a second term in the National Assembly, made the declaration on Tuesday after thousands of party supporters, loyalists and residents trooped out to welcome him home.

He expressed confidence that Ondo State would repeat its impressive performance from the 2023 presidential election.

“In 2023, Ondo State gave President Bola Tinubu one of the highest percentages of votes in the country. I am confident that we shall repeat a similar feat in the 2027 election by delivering massive support for the President and all APC candidates,” he said.

The federal lawmaker thanked his supporters for the grand reception, describing it as overwhelming, and urged party members to put the APC primary election behind them and unite for the task ahead.

“I was not expecting this kind of reception. My intention was simply to come home and celebrate with my people, but what I have witnessed today is overwhelming. I sincerely appreciate everyone who came out to receive me after I secured the mandate of our great party,” he said.

Adefarati maintained that there was no winner or loser in the party’s primary election, insisting that the APC remained the biggest beneficiary.

“In politics, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. For me, there is no winner or loser in this contest. The APC is the real winner. I appeal to all party members to close ranks and work together for the success of our party in 2027,” he added.

The Chairman of the House Committee on Labour and Productivity also applauded the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for what he described as the remarkable transformation of the ministry.

According to him, the minister’s performance has strengthened the APC at both the state and national levels.

“The Interior Minister is one of the star performers of this administration. His Midas touch has transformed the ministry while mobilising grassroots support for President Tinubu’s second-term bid across Ondo State,” Adefarati stated.

Speaking at the event, former Chairman of Akoko South West Local Government, Augustine Oloruntogbe, described the crowd that welcomed the lawmaker as spontaneous.

“What you are seeing here is organic. People came out on their own after hearing that Adefarati was returning with his Certificate of Return. Nobody was induced or mobilised,” he said.

Oloruntogbe attributed Adefarati’s popularity to his constituency projects, including boreholes, school rehabilitation, solar-powered streetlights, employment opportunities and the distribution of laptops to students.

“He has touched virtually every community in the constituency through impactful projects. That is why I believe the people will stand solidly behind him in 2027,” he added.

A former member of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prince Ologun Adebukola, who recently defected to the APC, also said the large turnout reflected the confidence the people have in Adefarati’s leadership.

Other APC leaders, including Hon. Barr. Pelemo Samuel, former House of Assembly member Hon. Felemu Olusegun and party chieftain Femi Michael, congratulated the lawmaker on securing the party’s ticket and urged members to remain united ahead of the 2027 general elections.
