…To mobilise support groups for president’s re-election bid
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has nominated Hon. Segun Tomori, popularly known as SET, as a member of its Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Tomori is expected to serve in the Support Groups Mobilisation Directorate, where he will work with other party leaders to mobilise support groups and strengthen grassroots backing for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
His nomination was announced ahead of the inauguration of the campaign council, scheduled to take place at the Presidential Villa later this week.
Tomori, an aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II, Lagos State, brings campaign experience from the APC’s 2019 and 2023 presidential elections to the assignment.
During the 2019 presidential campaign, he served in the Field Operations Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council. In 2023, he was Team Lead of the Strategic Communications Directorate of the party’s presidential campaign council.
His latest appointment is expected to draw on his experience in campaign operations, strategic communications and political mobilisation as the ruling party prepares for the 2027 contest.
Until recently, Tomori served as Special Assistant on Media to the Minister of Solid Minerals Development.
He is also the Founder and Principal Partner of Autumnhill Services and Chairman of the Abosede Tomori Foundation (ATF), through which he supports community development initiatives and humanitarian interventions.
His nomination further highlights his continued involvement in the APC’s political activities and mobilisation efforts.
The Support Groups Mobilisation Directorate is expected to play a role in coordinating groups and stakeholders working to promote the party’s campaign message and build support for Tinubu ahead of the next presidential election.
