2027 Hajj: FCT Fixes Fare at N7.67m, Sets September 25 Deadline

ABUJA — The Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board (FCT MPWB) has fixed the 2027 Hajj fare at N7,672,822 per intending pilgrim and set September 25, 2026 as the deadline for registration and payment of outstanding balances.

The Director of the Board, Malam Kadiri Edah, disclosed this yesterday in Abuja while briefing journalists on preparations for the 2027 pilgrimage.

Edah said the fare was in line with the recent announcement by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

He directed intending pilgrims who had earlier paid N7.5 million or less to pay the outstanding balance before the registration deadline.

According to him, all balance payments must be made through bank draft payable to the FCT Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board, Abuja, from any commercial bank.

The director also warned intending pilgrims who are yet to submit their international passports to do so immediately or risk losing their Hajj slots.

He said the passports must be valid until October 2027 and accompanied by a photocopy of the NIN slip, four recent passport photographs and a duly completed guarantor’s form, among other requirements.

Edah assured intending pilgrims of the Board’s commitment to their welfare throughout the pilgrimage.

He said the Board would ensure timely airlifting, suitable accommodation and quality meals for FCT pilgrims.

The Board urged intending pilgrims to meet all documentation and payment requirements before the September 25 deadline to avoid forfeiting their slots.
