The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has warned intending pilgrims that only seven days remain to register and upload their details for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage.
The commission said the deadline for registration and uploading of pilgrim data is September 26, 2026, urging intending pilgrims and relevant stakeholders to complete the process early to avoid last-minute challenges.
In a reminder posted on its official X account on Saturday, NAHCON said, “The countdown to the 26th September 2026 deadline for 2027 Hajj registration and pilgrim data upload has begun. Register early. Upload pilgrim data. Avoid the last-minute rush.”
The commission had earlier warned that failure to upload pilgrims’ data before the deadline could lead to the forfeiture of allocated slots.
NAHCON explained that the deadline was connected to the timelines for organising the pilgrimage, including requirements for the digital processing of pilgrims’ information by the Saudi Arabian authorities.
The commission also disclosed that full payment for allocated Hajj slots is expected to be completed by December 2, 2026.
It advised intending pilgrims to make payments only through officially recognised channels, including state pilgrims’ welfare agencies, designated Hajj savings banks and duly licensed tour operators.
NAHCON has continued to encourage intending pilgrims to complete their documentation and other requirements early as preparations for the 2027 pilgrimage intensify.
The reminder came two days after Saudi Arabia rejected Nigeria’s request for an increase in its 2027 Hajj allocation, leaving Nigeria with an approved quota of 50,000 pilgrims for next year’s pilgrimage.
