PBAT Door-to-Door Movement Kicks Off in Katsina
Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has pledged the state’s full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, assuring that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will work for a landslide victory for the President in the state in the 2027 presidential election.
Radda made the declaration on Saturday during the flag-off and inauguration of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement structures in Katsina.
The governor said Katsina remained firmly behind the APC-led administration and would mobilise its people to support Tinubu’s bid for a second term.
Radda expressed appreciation to the organisers of the initiative, particularly its founder and convener, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, for choosing Katsina as the first state to launch the programme.
He described the decision as a demonstration of confidence in the state and its support for the Tinubu administration.
The governor said Katsina had maintained a strong political relationship with Tinubu and the political family associated with the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.
He also recalled Tinubu’s longstanding relationship with prominent northern political leaders, including former President Muhammadu Buhari, as well as his role in the development of the APC.
Radda commended the policies and reforms of the Tinubu administration, saying they had created greater opportunities for state governments to implement development programmes.
He urged Katsina residents and APC supporters to remain committed to the President despite criticisms of the administration on social media.
“Katsina State is an APC state. Every elected official in Katsina State is a member of the All Progressives Congress. I assure you that Katsina State will, by the grace of God, give President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a landslide victory in 2027.
“We will do everything humanly possible to support our dear President.”
Radda called for unity among APC supporters and urged them to work collectively towards the party’s success in the 2027 elections.
He expressed confidence that Tinubu would be re-elected to continue implementing his administration’s programmes.
“Katsina State is your state and we will not let you down. We will support you, and our people will support you, Insha Allah, so that you will continue with the good work you have started for the good people of Nigeria,” he added.
Earlier, Tompolo, represented at the event by Engineer Kesiem Tombi, said the relationship between Tinubu and the people of Katsina had been built over the years on trust and confidence.
He urged members of the movement to take the campaign to the grassroots by going door-to-door, ward-to-ward, community-to-community and market-to-market to explain the Tinubu administration’s interventions in Katsina State.
He charged the supporters to mobilise voters and work for Tinubu’s victory in the 2027 presidential election.
