2027: TIHSEPA Targets Health Workers, Stakeholders for Tinubu’s Re-election

The Tinubu Health Sector Practitioners Alliance (TIHSEPA) has vowed to intensify nationwide mobilisation of healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to secure massive support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The National Coordinator of the alliance, Dr Ogechi Lokpobiri, disclosed this while congratulating Tinubu on the successful launch of his campaign in Kaduna State, describing the event as a fresh boost to the group’s mobilisation drive.

Lokpobiri said the impressive turnout at the Kaduna campaign launch had strengthened the alliance’s resolve to expand its nationwide engagements and rally healthcare practitioners behind the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

She said TIHSEPA would target stakeholders across primary and secondary healthcare institutions, as well as professionals in other segments of the health sector, as part of its efforts to mobilise substantial votes for Tinubu in 2027.

According to her, the alliance plans to deepen interaction with medical practitioners, healthcare administrators and other stakeholders to communicate the administration’s policies, programmes and interventions in the health sector.

Lokpobiri, who is the wife of the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, said healthcare professionals had an important role to play in national development, given the connection between a healthy population, economic productivity and national prosperity.

She maintained that the Tinubu administration had placed healthcare development among its priorities, particularly through investments in medical infrastructure, professional training, maternal healthcare and health insurance coverage.

“President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda recognises that the health of Nigerians is fundamental to the country’s productivity, prosperity and future.

“Investments in healthcare infrastructure, professional training, maternal health and insurance coverage provide a foundation for building a stronger health system,” she said.

The TIHSEPA coordinator said the alliance would continue to work closely with healthcare stakeholders across the federation to promote the administration’s interventions and encourage greater participation in the political process.

She reaffirmed the group’s commitment to publicising what it described as the achievements of the Tinubu administration, adding that it would strengthen its nationwide structure and expand engagement with professionals in both public and private healthcare institutions.

Lokpobiri further argued that sustained investment in healthcare was essential to improving access to quality medical services, strengthening the health workforce and addressing challenges confronting healthcare delivery across the country.

She said the Kaduna campaign launch had provided renewed momentum for the alliance to pursue its mobilisation target and expand its reach among health sector practitioners.

With the 2027 presidential election approaching, Lokpobiri urged healthcare professionals to support Tinubu’s re-election, arguing that a second term would enable the administration to consolidate ongoing reforms, sustain investments and pursue further improvements in healthcare delivery.

She expressed optimism that stronger collaboration with health sector stakeholders would boost the alliance’s nationwide mobilisation efforts and increase support for the President ahead of the election.
