The Tinubu Support Group (TSG) in Bayelsa State has vowed to mobilise voters across the state and deliver what it described as “bulk votes” for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The group made the declaration after its maiden meeting at the weekend, saying it would embark on a massive grassroots mobilisation campaign across political, ethnic and social divides to secure a decisive victory for the President.
Bayelsa State Director of Media, TSG, Engr. Udengs Eradiri, in a statement, said the group’s campaign for Tinubu’s re-election was patriotic and in the public interest.
Eradiri, a former President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, said the group would take the achievements of the Tinubu administration directly to communities across the state.
He said the TSG, under the leadership of grassroots politician, Engr. Preye Aganaba, would mobilise stakeholders and voters in support of Tinubu’s second-term bid.
“Our target is nothing but total victory. And at the end of the day, we will ensure that Bayelsa delivers bulk votes to President Tinubu in 2027,” Eradiri said.
He described Aganaba as a grassroots politician with the political reach and community appeal required to rally Bayelsans behind the President.
Eradiri, a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), said the TSG was open to all Bayelsans and would work with Governor Douye Diri and various leadership structures of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to secure victory for Tinubu.
According to him, the President’s performance would make the group’s mobilisation campaign easier, as members would present facts and figures on the administration’s achievements to voters as the 2027 campaigns gather momentum.
“Those who speak against the President speak out of ignorance. We are going to show them the facts, the figures and the numbers that will make them change their perception and see the re-election of President Tinubu as a matter of public interest,” he said.
The TSG media director said the group would take its campaign to associations, youths, women, students, traditional rulers, indigenes and non-indigenes across Bayelsa.
“The Bayelsa TSG is ready and prepared to spread the gospel of the Tinubu administration. We consider it a privilege to support the President, who has demonstrated the capacity to take tough decisions in the interest of this country,” he said.
Eradiri said the group believed that the reforms introduced by the administration were already yielding results and that another four years would consolidate the gains.
He listed the economy, infrastructure, petroleum sector, energy, security and decentralisation among areas where he said the administration had recorded achievements.
“We have collectively weathered the storm; continuity and consolidation remain the best way forward. Bayelsa will surely be counted among other states in this historic journey of consolidation,” he said.
The group said it would intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 election, insisting that Bayelsa would not be left behind in what it described as the national movement to consolidate the gains of the Tinubu administration.
Eradiri added that the TSG was determined to ensure that the 2027 presidential election in Bayelsa reflected what he described as growing public appreciation of Tinubu’s reforms and policies.
