NNPC Limited generated ₦3,087 billion in revenue and posted a profit after tax of ₦279 billion in July 2026, according to its latest monthly report summary.
The company also recorded crude oil and condensate production of 1.68 million barrels of oil per day (mmbopd) and natural gas production of 7,489 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d). Upstream pipeline availability stood at 100 per cent, while the OB3 gas pipeline achieved full availability and the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) pipeline recorded 95 per cent availability.
Statutory payments from January to July 2026 totalled ₦7,913 billion. Product availability at NNPC Retail Limited stations averaged 52 per cent during the month.
Crude oil and condensate production showed relative stability, with July’s 1.68 mmbopd figure coming after 1.72 mmbopd in June and 1.73 mmbopd in May. Gas production remained strong, though slightly lower than the 7,841 mmscf/d recorded in June.
On the sales side, crude oil and condensate sales reached 22.53 million barrels in July, while gas sales stood at 4,581 mmscf/d.
The report noted that July crude oil production was affected by a combination of operational disruptions across several assets, including facility outages, equipment unavailability, pipeline incidents and production constraints. All production, sales and financial figures remain provisional and subject to reconciliation.
Strategic and Social Initiatives
NNPC said production improvement efforts will focus on sustaining high facility uptime through preventive maintenance and minimising unplanned downtime. Key initiatives include optimising export operations at the Forcados Export Pipeline and Nembe EP, maturing and delivering incremental production opportunities, and strengthening operational reliability across key facilities. Additional measures include the activation of tandem offloading operations at Akpo and Erha, and the restoration of barging operations at Obodo to improve production evacuation.
On the gas infrastructure front, construction and installation works on the AKK (Early Gas) pipeline are at an advanced stage to deliver early gas to Abuja in 2026. Pipeline pre-commissioning activities on the OB3 River Niger Crossing have been completed in readiness for First Gas in August 2026.
The NNPC Foundation also highlighted its ongoing partnership with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) under the SAED programme. Since 2023, the Foundation has provided financial literacy empowerment to over 1.3 million corps members and supported 531 beneficiaries with start-up packs and business grants.
