Alli Visits Family of Slain APC Member, Promises Support for Pregnant Widow

Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, has condemned the reported killing of a party member, Khalid Adeyemo, popularly known as Paul Moor, and pledged continued support for his pregnant widow and family.

Alli, who represents Oyo South Senatorial District, gave the assurance during a condolence visit to the deceased’s family in Ward 06, Ibadan South-West Local Government Area, on Monday.

Moor was reportedly killed last Friday in an incident allegedly involving hoodlums associated with the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

Accompanied by other APC leaders, the senator expressed sadness over the death, describing it as a painful and unacceptable loss of a young man whose life held great promise.

He called on security agencies to intensify efforts to apprehend the suspected perpetrators and ensure that anyone found culpable is brought to justice.

Alli stressed the need for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing, insisting that the bereaved family deserved justice and reassurance that the case would not be swept under the carpet.

In a gesture of solidarity, the senator provided financial assistance to the deceased’s pregnant wife and mother, while promising continued support for the widow.

He also assured the family that he would work towards ensuring that the pregnant woman receives adequate care and support after childbirth.

The pledge, he said, was part of efforts to stand by the family as they navigate the emotional and financial challenges arising from the tragic loss.

The APC chairman in Oyo State, Chief Moses Adeyemo, urged the bereaved family to draw strength from their faith and remain steadfast despite the painful circumstances surrounding the death.

Adeyemo prayed for divine comfort and strength for the family, asking God to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The condolence visit came amid calls for a thorough investigation into the killing and renewed demands for justice for the deceased and his family.
