The Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation (MDPCO) has felicitated with Bauchi State Governor and National Leader of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, on his 68th birthday.
In a statement issued on Monday by its Director of Strategic Communications, Richard Ihediwa, the organisation described Mohammed as a Nigerian public servant and grassroots mobiliser whose career has spanned the National Assembly, the Federal Capital Territory Administration and the Bauchi State Government.
The organisation highlighted Mohammed’s tenure as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, as well as development initiatives undertaken by his administration in Bauchi State.
According to the MDPCO, the governor’s administration has focused on sectors including education, healthcare, security, agriculture, power, urban and rural development, transportation, social welfare and economic empowerment.
The organisation also commended Mohammed’s role as National Leader of the APM, saying he had remained active in the party’s affairs and in promoting its “RESET Nigeria” agenda.
It added that his political role would be relevant to the activities of the APM and the presidential campaign of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The statement said: “We celebrate Governor Bala Mohammed’s vision and achievements in critical sectors of education, healthcare, security, agriculture, power, urban and rural development, transportation, social welfare and economic empowerment of citizens in Bauchi State and beyond.”
The MDPCO said the birthday provided an opportunity to recognise Mohammed’s years in public service and his contributions to the political organisation.
The organisation wished the governor continued good health, wisdom and strength in his service to the country.
“On this milestone, we celebrate Governor Bala Mohammed and pray that the Almighty Allah continues to bless, direct, uphold him with good health, divine wisdom and renewed strength in the service of our dear fatherland,” Ihediwa added.
