The Super Falcons have opened camp in Ikenne, Ogun State, as preparations intensify for their pre-WAFCON double-header friendly matches against Senegal.
Players are expected to continue arriving ahead of the fixtures scheduled for June 5 and June 8 at the Remo Stars Sports Complex.
Head coach Justine Madugu has released a 23-player squad featuring top stars and returning players as Nigeria steps up preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The squad includes captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and veteran striker Asisat Oshoala.
Midfielder Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene returns to the team after a three-year absence, while Francisca Ordega, Gift Monday, Blessing Nkor, and Rofiat Imuran also make the squad.
Other invited players include Halimatu Ayinde, Toni Payne, Tosin Demehin, Rinsola Babajide, Christy Ucheibe, Shukurat Oladipo, and several home and foreign-based professionals.
The two friendlies against Senegal are part of Nigeria’s build-up to the WAFCON tournament scheduled for July 25 to August 16 in Morocco.
Nigeria, 10-time African champions, will compete in Group C alongside Egypt, Zambia, and debutants Malawi as they seek to reclaim continental dominance.
