FCT Fire Service Begins Fire Router Review, Warns Subscribers Over Renewals

ABUJA – The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Fire Service has begun a comprehensive review of its Fire Router service and advised subscribers to avoid long-term subscription renewals until the exercise is concluded.

Director of the FCT Fire Service, Adebayo Z. Amiola, disclosed this on Tuesday in Abuja, saying the review would assess the administrative and technical operations of the Fire Router system to ensure it meets the agency’s operational goals and serves the public interest.

The Fire Router service was introduced through a partnership between the FCT Fire Service and Prime Alert Secure Limited.

Amiola urged members of the public and existing subscribers to remain calm while the future of the system is being evaluated.

He advised subscribers to retain their installed Fire Router devices pending further directives from the service.

“Members of the public are requested to exercise patience while service continuity and future structural arrangements are carefully evaluated,” he said.

The fire chief also urged subscribers whose plans are due for renewal to first seek clarification through the official communication channels of the FCT Fire Service before making any long-term financial commitment.

Despite the ongoing review, Amiola assured residents that emergency fire response operations across the FCT remain unaffected.

“The conventional emergency fire reporting and response services of the FCT Fire Service remain fully operational. Citizens are urged to continue reporting fire emergencies through existing official channels without hesitation,” he stated.

He thanked the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike, for his continued support for public institutions and assured residents that all stakeholders would be updated as the review progresses.
