Gas Explosion Hits Obasanjo Library, Kills Two

In less than 48 hours after a gas explosion killed two person at the Conference Hotel, Abeokuta, another explosion on Thursday, rocked the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, OOPL, killing two persons.

OOPL is almost opposite the Conference Hotel owner by the former Governor Gbenga Daniel of the State, where an explosion killed a technician and a guest whole three persons where injured.

Our correspondent learnt that the explosion occured around 11:am at the Marcque event centre within the Presidential Library.

Like other explosions in the last one week in Abeokuta, technicians were topping up gas into the Air Condition (AC) when it triggered the explosion.

“Two people have already been confirmed dead,” a worker at OOPL hint our correspondent.

This brings to four, the number of explosions recorded in the state capital since last Wednesday.

Two entrances leading to the complex have been shut down as at the time journalists visited the area.
