Nigeria @66: Tinubu Outlines Massive Job Creation Blueprint for Young Nigerians to Build Global ‘Unicorns’

YOUNG Nigerians are the secret engine of the country’s future, and President Bola Tinubu has promised to unleash their potential with a major boost to tech, jobs, and enterprises.

Delivering his 66th Independence Day speech, the President put the nation’s youth right at the absolute center of his administration’s plan to transform Nigeria from a reform zone into a economic powerhouse.

Rejecting the idea that Nigeria’s massive youth population is a burden, Tinubu insisted the demographic energy will drive a new era of home-grown innovation and manufacturing.

“I want to see young Nigerians building unicorns and creating opportunities for others here at home,” Tinubu urged, promising better digital connectivity and targeted job skills.

Key highlights for young workers and entrepreneurs include:

* Gas-Powered Manufacturing: Reviving dead factories across industrial hubs to create millions of practical jobs.

* Digital Expansion: Expanding high-speed internet connectivity to rural and underserved communities.

* Student Loans & Credit: Backing the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) and CREDICORP to help young workers buy assets like cars and solar setups without years of savings.

The President urged the youth to keep pushing, promising that the government will provide the infrastructure and funding needed for Nigerian enterprise to dominate global markets.
