The Orbih family of Edo State has been thrown into mourning following the death of Chief Daniel Osi Orbih.
The family of Chief M.C.K. Orbih announced that Chief Orbih passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026.
In a statement signed by Francis Udukhomoi Orbih Esq. on behalf of the family, the deceased was described as a beloved brother, husband, father and uncle.
The family said it received news of his death with profound sadness and heavy hearts but remained in total submission to the will of Almighty God.
Chief Daniel Osi Orbih is survived by his wife, Mrs Florence Orbih; his children, Ms Winifred Anwosiobor Orbih and Dr Mildred Omonemi Orbih; brothers and sisters, as well as other members of the extended family.
The family appealed to friends, relatives and well-wishers to remember the bereaved family in their prayers as they mourn the painful loss.
“At this difficult time, we ask family members, friends and well-wishers to remember the entire family in their prayers as we mourn this painful loss,” the statement said.
The family added that details of the burial and other funeral arrangements would be announced in due course.
It prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased, saying: “May his soul rest in perfect peace.
