Supporters of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) took to the streets, blocking the Lafia-Jos road and setting tires on fire. The demonstrators expressed their dissatisfaction with the Supreme Court’s decision, and the situation escalated, leading to the closure of shops, business centers, and schools within the Lafia metropolis for the safety of students and residents. Amidst the unrest, an automobile mechanic, Mallam Abdullahi Sani, called for the deployment of security operatives to restore calm.
