Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, has showered praises on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he marks his 74th birthday, describing him as a driving force in Nigeria’s democratic journey.
In a heartfelt tribute, Alake said he has watched Tinubu’s political influence for nearly four decades, from his role in the struggle for the actualisation of the June 12, 1993 election to his impactful tenure as Governor of Lagos State.
He also credited the President with championing the historic merger of opposition parties that reshaped Nigeria’s political landscape, noting that Tinubu has consistently demonstrated foresight and strategic leadership.
According to the minister, Tinubu is currently leading bold reforms as President, which he described as a “renaissance” in governance.
“When the story of Nigeria’s democratic evolution is told, your name will remain indelible, with your footprints firmly engraved on the sands of time,” Alake said.
He further prayed for divine guidance and wisdom for the President as he continues to steer the affairs of the nation.
“On your 74th birthday, may the Almighty continue to guide you and grant you the wisdom to lead Nigeria aright. Happy birthday, Mr President,” he added.
