President Bola Tinubu on Thursday met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris, where the two leaders held a private dinner.
The meeting was disclosed on Friday by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a post on X.
Onanuga said the engagement underscored the longstanding relationship between Nigeria and France and the two countries’ shared commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation.
Photographs released from the meeting showed Tinubu with Macron and Macron’s wife, Brigitte Macron, during the dinner at the French presidential palace.
Other photographs showed Tinubu and Macron engaged in discussions during the private gathering.
The meeting comes amid continued diplomatic and economic relations between Nigeria and France, with both countries maintaining cooperation across areas of mutual interest.
