Engr. Femi Sanni, popularly known as Araba, has described the composition of President Bola Tinubu’s Presidential Campaign Council as an effort to promote inclusion, strengthen stakeholder participation and improve political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Sanni said the council was expected to provide strategic direction, coordinate political activities and drive nationwide engagement in support of Tinubu’s re-election bid.
He noted that the council brought together party leaders, serving governors, legislators, former governors, campaign veterans and other influential stakeholders to foster collaboration across national, zonal and grassroots structures.
According to him, the revised list demonstrated that concerns over representation and participation could be addressed through consultation and necessary adjustments, thereby strengthening confidence among party members and political allies.
He said accommodating diverse interests and recognising the contributions of stakeholders were important to building consensus around a common electoral objective.
Sanni, however, stressed that political inclusion must go beyond appointments to deliver effective coordination and a shared commitment to national development.
He identified economic reforms, security, infrastructure and improved living standards as key issues that should feature prominently in the campaign’s engagement with Nigerians.
The campaign council, he said, would need to accommodate constructive differences among stakeholders while maintaining a common direction.
Sanni also noted that the senior role assigned to Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq offered the state an opportunity to contribute to campaign strategy and grassroots mobilisation.
“The real test of the council lies in its ability to translate inclusion into effective coordination, credible communication, grassroots engagement and measurable electoral support,” he said.
He added that the council’s responsibility was to bring stakeholders together and organise a coordinated nationwide campaign capable of seeking renewed public support for Tinubu.
