…Aguma hails FCT minister for reviving 16-year abandoned Civil Centre
The Aguma of Gwagwalada, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Muhammadu Magaji, has declared that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, will earn a place in Nigeria’s history alongside legendary leaders such as Sir Ahmadu Bello, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe and Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
The monarch said Wike’s development projects across the FCT, especially the revival and completion of the Gwagwalada Civil Centre after more than 16 years of abandonment, would remain a significant part of his legacy.
Magaji made the declaration on Monday during the commissioning of the Civil Centre and an interactive session with stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gwagwalada Area Council, Abuja.
He praised Wike for directing the resumption of work on abandoned projects across the territory, saying Gwagwalada had benefited from the minister’s determination to complete stalled infrastructure.
The traditional ruler described the completion of the Civil Centre as a major achievement for the area, noting that the facility would serve residents regardless of their political affiliations.
He also applauded the coming together of APC and PDP leaders under the Rainbow Coalition, saying their willingness to put aside political differences was a welcome development.
According to him, the alliance has created an opportunity for political stakeholders to work together in the interest of peace, unity and development.
Magaji urged residents and political leaders to sustain the spirit of cooperation, adding that the people of Gwagwalada would continue to appreciate initiatives that bring development closer to them.
