The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is experiencing an unprecedented pace of infrastructural development under the leadership of FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike.
This was revealed by the FCT Head of Civil Service, Dr. Udo Samuel Atang, during the Step-Down Retreat and Training for FCTA Performance Managers in New Karu, Nasarawa State, on Friday, May 3rd, 2024.
The retreat aims to drive the implementation of the performance bond signed by key Ministers in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Cabinet, which will fast-track the realization of democratic dividends and improve the wellbeing of FCT residents and Nigerian citizens at large.
According to Dr. Atang, the FCT’s infrastructural overhaul is attributed to the Minister’s track record of achievements over two decades of public service, characterized by zero tolerance for sloppy jobs, negligence, and underperformance.
The Head of Service highlighted efforts to improve project reporting, enhance preparedness, and reinforce operational frameworks, acknowledging the support of the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination/Head Central Delivery Coordination Unit, Hadiza Bala Usman.
The FCT Minister will continue to collaborate with her office to achieve the President’s goals for Nigeria, ensuring the sustenance of the unprecedented infrastructural growth in the FCT.
