KATSINA — Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has hailed the retention of Vice President Kashim Shettima as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s running mate for the 2027 election, describing it as a vote of confidence in his performance and loyalty.
Radda said the decision reflects the President’s satisfaction with Shettima’s role in the administration, particularly in key policy and economic initiatives.
“Vice President Shettima has served with diligence and the President’s decision to retain him speaks to his performance and his loyalty,” the governor stated.
He noted that the Vice President has played strategic roles, including chairing the Presidential Committee on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), leading efforts on energy security and contributing to the administration’s economic policy direction.
“These responsibilities require administrative experience and sound political judgment. The President’s choice indicates satisfaction with his handling of these assignments,” Radda added.
The governor, on behalf of the government and people of Katsina State, congratulated Shettima on his retention, describing it as recognition of his hard work and commitment to national service.
He also expressed confidence that the Vice President would continue to play a pivotal role in advancing the administration’s agenda if re-elected in 2027.
