The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its timetable and schedule of activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, pegging its presidential expression of interest and nomination forms at a combined cost of N100 million.
The party also fixed the governorship forms at N50 million, while aspirants for the Senate will pay N20 million. Those seeking seats in the House of Representatives are to pay N10 million, while House of Assembly forms cost N6 million.
A breakdown of the fees shows that presidential aspirants will pay N30 million for expression of interest and N70 million for nomination forms, bringing the total to N100 million. Governorship hopefuls are to pay N10 million for expression of interest and N40 million for nomination, totalling N50 million.
For senatorial aspirants, the expression of interest form is pegged at N3 million, with the nomination form set at N17 million, totalling N20 million. House of Representatives aspirants will pay N1 million for expression of interest and N9 million for nomination, while House of Assembly aspirants are to pay N1 million and N5 million respectively, totalling N6 million.
According to the timetable, presidential primary elections will hold between May 15 and 16, 2026, while governorship primaries are scheduled for May 23, 2026.
The schedule was contained in a statement signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, detailing timelines for screening, appeals, and primaries, alongside guidelines for the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms.
The APC reassured members and stakeholders of its commitment to conducting credible and transparent primaries, aimed at strengthening internal democracy and consolidating its progressive ideals ahead of the 2027 polls.
