Kidnappers Won’t Keep Our Children Forever! Mothers Must Pray Them Out, Pastor Ayanbode Cries Out

The Wife of the Pastor in Charge of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Region 45 and Convener of Hosanna Day, Pastor Mrs. Patience Ayanbode, on Sunday raised concerns over the plight of children trapped in kidnappers’ dens and other forms of captivity, urging Christian mothers to rise in fervent prayers for their rescue and restoration.

Speaking during the Hosanna Day programme held at RCCG FCT Province 7, Faith Chapel, Gwarinpa, Abuja, Ayanbode declared that spiritual empowerment through the Holy Spirit remains crucial in confronting the forces threatening families and communities.

Leading an intense intercessory session for children, families and victims of insecurity, she stressed that believers must go beyond ordinary prayers and embrace spiritual empowerment to pray out the children held captive in Oyo state by the kidnappers.

According to her, “Because if you don’t speak in tongues, how will you cast out the demons? How will you be able to pray for the sick? Come on, in just two minutes, we are going to expel the force that is not of God. We are going to pray in the Spirit. These are our sisters, they need to be empowered.

“They need to be empowered. It’s not enough that you pray and the devil will hear you. They need to be empowered.”

The cleric specifically called for prayers for children facing various forms of captivity and oppression, including those being held by kidnappers, expressing confidence that God would intervene on their behalf.

She urged women to seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit and develop deeper prayer lives capable of addressing spiritual challenges confronting families.

Earlier, the guest minister and Wife of the Assistant Pastor in Charge of RCCG Region 45 as well as Pastor in Charge of RCCG FCT Province 5, Pastor Mrs. Barenle Olorunmodimu, charged Christians to pursue divine empowerment if they hope to fulfil God’s purpose for their lives.

Preaching on the theme, “Flowing In His Power,” Olorunmodimu said God’s power is indispensable for success, victory over life’s challenges and destiny fulfilment.

Quoting from John 1:12, she said: “As many that believed in Him gave them power. You need the power of God to become what God wants you to be, to succeed, to overcome the works of the enemy and to fulfil your destiny.”

She described God’s power as His divine ability working through believers to accomplish what human strength cannot achieve.

According to her, “Life is dangerous without the power of God. You cannot continue your life without the power of God. The kingdom of God is not in words but in power. Your life must carry fire in order not to become a toy in the hands of the wicked one.”

The preacher identified witnessing for Christ, overcoming enemies, fulfilling destiny, confronting life’s battles and ending life’s journey successfully as major reasons Christians need divine empowerment.

She further warned that spiritual battles cannot be won through educational qualifications, social status or physical appearance.

“Enemies do not submit to your certificates. Enemies do not submit to your beauty. They submit to the power of God,” she declared.

Olorunmodimu also challenged mothers to become more spiritually alert and intentional about the upbringing of their children amid increasing moral and social challenges.

“Mothers, wake up. Enough of sleeping. Many of our children are already toying with their destinies. We need to rise and take our place in prayer,” she admonished.

She added that believers who desire to flow in God’s power must surrender their lives to Christ, hunger for righteousness, be filled with the Holy Spirit and maintain a consistent prayer life.

“You shall receive power when the Holy Ghost has come upon you. Men of prayer are men of power. Women of prayer are women of power,” she said.

Earlier, the host of the programme and Wife of the Pastor in Charge of RCCG FCT Province 7, Pastor Mrs. Glory Oluyombo, welcomed worshippers and special guests to the event and expressed appreciation for their participation.

She described the gathering as a platform for spiritual revival, empowerment and family transformation, urging participants to take advantage of the programme’s teachings and prayers.

The event attracted hundreds of women and worshippers from across the region and featured worship sessions, intercessory prayers and exhortations focused on spiritual empowerment, family restoration and kingdom advancement.
