NABTEB Extends NCEE Registration to May 31, Shifts Exam to June 13

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has extended the registration deadline for the 2026 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) into Technical Colleges across Nigeria to May 31, 2026, while rescheduling the examination to June 13.

The extension was announced in a statement signed by the Assistant Director (Media/Protocol), NABTEB, Uchechukwu Olisah, and made available to journalists in Benin.

According to the statement, the Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of NABTEB, Dr. Mohammed Aminu Mohammed, approved the extension following widespread requests from prospective candidates seeking additional time to complete their registration.

Olisah disclosed that the approval was conveyed through an internal memorandum signed by the Director of Examinations Administration, Ms. Chigoziem Susan Metu.

“With this extension, registration for the National Common Entrance Examination will now close at midnight on Sunday, May 31, 2026, while the examination earlier scheduled for June 6 has been rescheduled to June 13, 2026,” the statement said.

NABTEB explained that the decision was aimed at accommodating candidates who had yet to finalize their registration, urging them to take advantage of the extended window.

Dr. Mohammed also encouraged prospective candidates, particularly those with entrepreneurial aspirations and those seeking admission into technical colleges and higher institutions, to register and participate in the examination.

The NCEE serves as a key entry pathway into technical colleges across the country and is part of efforts to strengthen technical and vocational education in Nigeria.
