Ododo’s APC campaign appointment excites Kogi grassroots group

The Jagaban Grassroots Movement has described the appointment of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, as Deputy Director in charge of Finance of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) as a well-deserved recognition of his leadership and organisational capacity.

The group also hailed Ododo’s designation as the Kogi State Coordinator of the campaign, saying the development would energise APC members and supporters across the state ahead of the January presidential election.

In a statement issued by its Coordinator, Hon. Samuel Obasun, the group said Ododo’s leadership had helped strengthen peace, unity and discipline within the APC in Kogi State.

Obasun said the governor’s appointment would further mobilise the party’s grassroots structure towards delivering a decisive victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He said, “The appointment of Governor Ododo as Deputy Director in charge of Finance of the Presidential Campaign Council is well deserved. His appointment as the Kogi State Coordinator of the campaign will further spur all the Ododo foot soldiers to work harder and deliver Kogi State to Mr President.

“Governor Ododo has ensured that our party remains peaceful, disciplined and focused. He has built a structure that is ready to mobilise the people and reward Mr President for the special interest his administration has shown in the development of Kogi State.”

The group said the various projects and interventions attracted to Kogi State under President Tinubu, alongside projects executed by the Ododo administration, had strengthened the partnership between the Federal and state governments.

According to Obasun, developments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture and security would further boost public support for the Tinubu administration at the polls.

He assured that members of the Jagaban Grassroots Movement and other APC supporters across the state would work with Governor Ododo and the campaign structure to secure an overwhelming victory for the President.

Obasun expressed confidence that Kogi State would reciprocate what he described as President Tinubu’s support for the state with a massive electoral mandate, adding that Ododo was capable of leading the campaign to a historic victory.
