The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) and Kaduna Power Supply Company (KAPSCO) have intensified collaboration to improve project coordination and accelerate the execution of critical power transmission infrastructure across the country.
The renewed partnership followed a courtesy visit by the TCN Kaduna Region delegation to the Managing Director of KAPSCO, Engr. Idris Aminu Idris, in Kaduna.
The TCN team, led by the General Manager (Transmission), Engr. Nasir Mansur S. Fada, alongside the Principal Manager (Transmission), Engr. Onaga Jacob Ugochukwu, said the engagement forms part of ongoing stakeholder consultations aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s electricity transmission network.
Discussions during the meeting focused on project progress, operational expectations, technical requirements, and areas of mutual collaboration to enhance efficiency in power delivery.
The engagement also provided an opportunity for both organisations to align strategies on the execution of key transmission projects and address challenges affecting the sector.
Industry observers say such partnerships are critical to improving electricity supply reliability, especially as Nigeria continues to invest in expanding its transmission capacity.
The initiative underscores TCN’s commitment to stakeholder engagement as a tool for driving efficiency and ensuring the successful implementation of power infrastructure projects nationwide.
