Abuja — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has issued a strong warning to bandits, kidnappers, and their sponsors, urging them to surrender to authorities or face decisive military action.
In his Democracy Day address, the President said criminal elements across the country must take advantage of existing surrender opportunities, stressing that such windows would not remain open indefinitely.
Tinubu declared that the Federal Government would show no leniency to those involved in violence and criminality, insisting that they must either surrender or face the full force of the Nigerian State.
He called for national unity in the fight against insecurity, warning against ethnic or sectional blame, and stating that crime has no ethnicity.
The President also emphasized that ongoing security operations are aimed at restoring peace and protecting citizens across all regions of the country.
He urged Nigerians to remain confident that the country would overcome its security challenges through sustained military action and collective national resolve.
