Abuja, Nigeria — International Energy Insurance (IEI) Plc, a subsidiary of Norrenberger Financial Group, has launched its ₦17.5 billion public offer as part of a broader recapitalisation drive aimed at strengthening its position in Nigeria’s insurance sector and expanding its underwriting capacity.
The public offer, which opened on May 20, 2026, and is scheduled to close on June 11, 2026, follows a formal signing ceremony held on May 11, 2026, at the FF Millennium Tower in Lagos, marking a key milestone in the company’s growth strategy.
Under the offer, IEI is making available 5.47 billion ordinary shares of 50 kobo each at ₦3.20 per share to institutional and retail investors.
The company said the capital raise is intended to enhance its financial strength, improve service delivery, and expand its capacity to underwrite complex insurance risks across Nigeria’s corporate and public sectors.
The transaction is being managed by CardinalStone Partners as Lead Issuing House, alongside Anchoria Advisory Services, Norrenberger Advisory, and Vetiva Advisory Services Limited as Joint Issuing Houses.
According to the company, the collaboration reflects strong market confidence in IEI’s renewed business strategy and its long-term value creation plans for shareholders.
IEI noted that the capital injection will support its operational expansion, digital transformation agenda, and efforts to remain competitive within Nigeria’s evolving financial services landscape.
The company also confirmed that investors can participate in the offer through licensed stockbrokers or by visiting its official public offer portal.
Established in 1969 and listed on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), IEI Plc operates as a general insurance provider offering property, casualty, and specialty risk underwriting services to corporate, public sector, and individual clients.
The firm is regulated by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) under the Nigeria Insurance Industry Reform Act (NIIRA) 2025.
Market analysts say the offer represents a significant step in strengthening Nigeria’s insurance sector amid ongoing recapitalisation efforts across the financial services industry.
