The National Democratic Coalition (NDC) has stated that it has not released any official results from its primary elections in any state, urging party members and the public to disregard lists currently circulating in the public space.
The clarification followed a closed-door meeting between the national leadership of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, and key figures within the NDC, aimed at resolving internal issues in Kano State.
In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director Esq, the party emphasised that no official primary results have been announced anywhere in the country.
“The NDC has not released any official results of its primary elections in any state. Hence, the public and party members are urged to disregard any such list in circulation,” the statement read.
The meeting, which lasted several hours, was described as productive, with discussions focused on strengthening unity and addressing concerns between the Kwankwasiyya movement and legacy NDC officials in Kano.
Senator Dickson and the NDC leadership are said to be mediating in the dispute to ensure broader inclusion and participation of party members in the political process.
The party leadership also reiterated its commitment to internal democracy, stressing that it would not impose candidates in Kano State or any other part of the country.
According to the statement, ongoing consultations are aimed at fostering cohesion within the party and ensuring that all stakeholders are carried along in decision-making processes.
