Ondo APC Women Target 500 Votes Each Per Ward for Tinubu’s 2027 Bid

AKURE — Women leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State have unveiled a grassroots mobilisation strategy aimed at securing massive support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 presidential election.

The strategy, announced at the inaugural meeting of the Women Sub-Committee of the party’s State Presidential Campaign Council, centres on mobilising women across all 203 wards in the state.

Chairperson of the committee, Dr Seun Osamaye, said the group would adopt different approaches to increase women’s participation in the campaign and strengthen the APC’s support base ahead of the election.

Osamaye challenged women leaders to mobilise at least 500 women each from their respective wards, saying grassroots engagement would be central to achieving the committee’s target.

She urged members to take the campaign directly to communities through face-to-face interactions with women and other eligible voters.

The committee also plans to deploy digital communication channels, including social media campaigns, creative graphics and online publicity, to publicise the Tinubu administration’s achievements and keep voters informed.

Osamaye commended Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his wife, Oluwaseun, for creating opportunities for women to participate in political mobilisation and the party’s activities.

She also praised the governor’s leadership and commitment to strengthening the APC in the state, describing his support and strategic direction as important to the campaign council’s efforts.

The committee chairperson acknowledged the contributions of the governor’s wife to women’s development and empowerment, saying her commitment to improving women’s welfare had encouraged the mobilisation initiative.

Co-Chairman of the committee, Princess Iji Aiyeola, urged members to return to their respective wards and intensify grassroots mobilisation.

Aiyeola said effective engagement with women at the community level would strengthen the APC’s presence and reinforce the state’s contribution to the party’s national political objectives.

The committee’s Secretary, Adeola Finch, announced that each local government area would have a designated coordinator to supervise mobilisation activities and improve communication among women leaders.

Members of the sub-committee reaffirmed their commitment to building a strong grassroots network of women to support Tinubu’s re-election campaign in Ondo State.

The mobilisation initiative signals an early effort by the Ondo APC to consolidate its support base ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
