A former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Ndudi Elumelu, has defeated incumbent lawmaker, Ngozi Okolie, to clinch the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for Oshimili South Federal Constituency in Delta State.
The primary election, held across designated wards in Asaba, witnessed a large turnout of accredited party members and was conducted under peaceful conditions, according to party officials.
Elumelu, who previously represented the constituency in the House of Representatives, secured victory after polling the majority of votes cast by delegates, effectively unseating the sitting lawmaker in the party’s internal contest.
