ABUJA — The Pastor in Charge of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), FCT Province 7, Gwarinpa, Abuja, Pastor Steve Oluyombo, has urged Christians to cultivate the habit of sharing testimonies, saying thanksgiving and public acknowledgement of God’s goodness help to perfect divine miracles.
Speaking during the church’s Moment of Grace programme themed “Testimonies,” Oluyombo said many believers receive blessings and breakthroughs from God but fail to experience their fullness because they do not return to express gratitude and testify to His faithfulness.
Drawing from Luke 17:12-19, where Jesus healed ten lepers but only one returned to give thanks, the cleric said gratitude remains a vital component of the Christian faith.
“When you share your testimony, you put a seal of approval and perfection on the miracle God has given you. Many people receive miracles, but only a few return to glorify God,” he said.
According to him, the leper who returned to thank Jesus received more than healing, as he was made completely whole.
The pastor assured worshippers that God remains attentive to the cries of His children and is aware of every challenge confronting them.
“God knows your situation. He knows your circumstances and your struggles. The Lord sees you and He will visit you with testimonies,” he declared.
Oluyombo also prayed for divine healing for those battling various ailments, maintaining that Jesus Christ remains the ultimate healer.
He said: “Anyone who has come into this sanctuary with any form of sickness or disease will not return the same way. By the power in the name of Jesus, receive your healing.”
The cleric further spoke on God’s power to deliver individuals and families from longstanding afflictions, limitations and generational challenges.
Referencing the deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt as recorded in Exodus 12, he said God is still in the business of setting people free from every form of bondage.
“I don’t know the history of your family or the battles you have been fighting, but every force of limitation and oppression is broken in the name of Jesus,” he said.
Oluyombo also encouraged those facing financial difficulties and mounting debts not to despair, stressing that God remains able to provide supernatural solutions.
Using biblical examples such as the widow whose debt was miraculously settled and Joseph who rose from prison to become a ruler, he urged believers to remain steadfast in faith.
“The God who delivered yesterday is still delivering today. The God who fought your battles before is still alive and will do it again,” he said.
He urged Christians to remain patient while waiting for divine intervention, noting that some blessings require time because God is preparing something greater.
The pastor concluded with prayers for families, businesses and the nation, expressing confidence that God would bring restoration, breakthroughs and testimonies to His people.
He also prayed for peace, progress and divine intervention in Nigeria, urging citizens to remain hopeful despite prevailing challenges.
