ABUJA – As part of efforts to deepen spiritual growth and empower women for greater impact in society and the church, the Women of Zion of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Region 45, will hold June edition of “Hosanna Day” programme on June 21 in Abuja.
The event, themed “Flowing in His Power,” is scheduled to take place at 1:00 p.m. at RCCG Faith Chapel, Road 69, Adkhan Estate, Gwarinpa, and is expected to attract worshippers from across the Federal Capital Territory and neighbouring states.
Speaking ahead of the programme, the Wife of the Pastor in Charge of RCCG Region 45 and Convener of the event, Pastor Mrs. Patience Ayanbode, said the initiative was birthed from a divine mandate received during a special Holy Ghost Service at the Redemption Camp in 2012.
According to her, God impressed upon her the need to establish a platform dedicated to ministering to women facing diverse challenges, including sickness, emotional distress, delayed childbirth and other life burdens.
Recounting the experience, she said she was awakened by the Holy Spirit and commissioned to undertake an assignment focused on restoring hope and healing to women.
“God showed concern for the plight of many women who were suffering and carrying different burdens. After months of prayer and seeking divine direction, we commenced the programme, and since then, we have witnessed remarkable testimonies of healing, restoration and divine intervention,” she said.
Pastor Ayanbode noted that several women who had waited many years for the fruit of the womb had received answers to their prayers through the programme, while others had testified to miraculous healings from serious ailments.
She urged participants to attend with faith and total surrender to God.
“Come with an open heart and a willingness to receive from God. Whatever your expectations may be, trust Him to meet you at the point of your need. God remains faithful and unchanging,” she added.
Also speaking, the guest minister, Pastor Mrs. Barenle Olorunmodimu, Wife of the Assistant Pastor in Charge of Region 45 and Pastor in Charge of FCT Province 5, described the theme as particularly relevant in contemporary times.
She observed that many believers were living below their spiritual potential due to a lack of divine empowerment.
“We live in challenging times that require the power of God for effective Christian living.
Without that power, believers become vulnerable to the forces and pressures of the world. My prayer is that everyone who attends will experience a fresh release of God’s power,” she said.
Pastor Olorunmodimu encouraged participants to approach the gathering with prepared hearts and genuine spiritual hunger.
Quoting scripture, she noted that people become willing in the day of God’s power and stressed the importance of attending with the expectation of encountering God personally.
The host of the programme and Wife of the Pastor in Charge of RCCG FCT Province 7, Pastor Mrs. Glory Oluyombo, said the decision to rotate the programme among provinces within Region 45 was aimed at expanding participation and making the initiative more accessible to women at the grassroots.
According to her, this June edition marks the first time the programme will be hosted in FCT Province 7.
“The vision is to bring the experience closer to women who may have been unable to participate in previous editions because of distance or financial constraints. By taking the programme to different provinces, more women can benefit from its spiritual impact,” she said.
Pastor Oluyombo expressed optimism that the gathering would usher participants into a season of renewed spiritual vitality and divine encounters.
“We are trusting God for open heavens and a fresh move of His Spirit. This is a season when believers, especially women, need divine empowerment to fulfil their purpose and navigate the challenges of life,” she said.
She further encouraged women not to miss the opportunity to be part of the gathering, describing it as a platform for revival, restoration and spiritual strengthening.
Organisers said the programme would feature worship, praise, prayer sessions and ministrations designed to inspire faith and strengthen fellowship among believers.
While the focus remains on women, attendance has been extended to men, youths and children, reflecting the organisers’ belief that every believer stands in need of God’s presence and power.
With growing anticipation and testimonies from previous editions continuing to inspire confidence, the organisers expressed hope that this year’s Hosanna Day would serve as a catalyst for spiritual renewal and transformation among participants.
