Tension remains high in Oyo State as Governor Seyi Makinde has given a firm and emotional assurance that the kidnapped sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, and her two sons will be rescued.
Makinde made the pledge on Friday during a personal visit to Adelabu, where he sympathised with the former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and his family over the shocking abduction.
The governor revealed that his visit was not just for solidarity, but also to update the family on ongoing efforts to secure the victims’ safe release.
“I actually came to brief him on what the government has been doing regarding that incident,” Makinde told journalists.
Reassuring the distressed family, the governor expressed confidence that the victims would return safely.
“By the grace of God, we will bring her and her sons back,” he declared.
The incident has sparked concern among residents, as authorities intensify efforts to track down the kidnappers and ensure the victims’ safe return.
While details surrounding the abduction remain limited, the state government’s swift response and high-level involvement signal the seriousness of the situation.
For now, all eyes remain on security agencies as families and residents hold on to hope for a safe reunion.
